Crowbourugh :: Cottage wardrobe

We fitted a bespoke solid oak ledge (batten, if you are in the north) door wardrobe this week, in a lovely old cottage in Crowbourugh, East Sussex. The left side of the unit goes into an alcove making the unit double depth, giving shelving in the back and plenty of space in the front. The bespoke doors are made of solid oak and we tried to keep the boards ununiformed to keep with the cottages rustic feel, with hand fitted tongue and groove joints. The T-hinges and knobs are hand forged and finished with black wax.
