Cowfold :: Bespoke Solid Oak Trestle Table

We made this bespoke solid Oak trestle table for our customer in Cowfold, to replicate a table they have in their holiday home in France. He provided us with photos of the table he wanted replicating, from which we were able to scale off. Producing drawings and a made to measure bespoke product.

We chose prime European oak for the table and selected quarter sawn boards for the top, which not only helps keep the top nice and flat but also shows the beautiful medullary rays. The base has hand cut mortice and tenon joints and the solid oak top has traditional bread board ends for stability.

The table is hand finished with a grey tinted Osmo wax oil, this colour was chosen to tie in with other furniture in their home. This table has the added benefit of being easily adjustable, which means it can be used with any chair height and hopefully be passed down for many generations to come.
